Legacy of the 54th Social Justice and the Shaw Memorial

Boston activists gathered in front of the Memorial following the assassination of Medgar Evers in 1963. Sponsored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), this event also served as a voting registration drive for many Black Bostonians.
